Bhedaghat : Water Marble and Sunlight

Bhedaghat: Water Marble and Sunlight-Post 7

Bhedaghat Jabalpur

I reached Bhedaght. Bhedaghat is one of the most famous waterfalls in India. You will see two faces of Narmada. Gently the Narmada all of sudden became turbulent at Dhuan Dhar. Water, marble, and sunlight creating a magical effect.

Marble Rocks

Bhedaghat Jabalpur

Marble rocks are standing in the water of Narmada. The river Narmada flow between marble rocks. Boating between these marble rocks is a strange experience The color of marble rocks changed according to sun rays and their direction and angle as the morning, afternoon and in the evening. In night moonlight shows another image.

Not only in the day time but also in moonlight boating between marbles rocks depicted a different picture. I strongly request you please stay here one day for night boating during Shuklpaksh        (when the moon appears) period. This is a memorable, unforgettable experience of my life. Here one thing I want to say that due to the huge quantity of water, the boating facility is not available during the month of June to October.

Dhuan Dhar

Shauna dhar bhedaghat Jabalpur

Dhuan Dhar is an important point of Bhedaghat. As reflected in the name Dhuan Dhar means a stream of smoke, the flow of smoke, smoke cascade. The waterfalls near about 300 feet below. The sound of the waterfall and everywhere smoke makes its amazing Marble rocks also increased the beauty of the place. The power and intensity of the waterfall can be gauged by roaring sound which can be heard from a long distance. You can't detain yourself take a photo of your near and dear. This is also a very good selfie point.

Bhedaghat Jabalpur

I am standing here in front of Dhuan Dhar. Water flowing and converting into smoke
           Everywhere dhuan...dhuan...dhuan...
           All around me smoke...smoke...smoke...

             Kehte hai giyani
             Dunia hai pani
             Pani pe likhi kahani

(Thinker says that life is water. Life is a story written on water.)
I am feeling deep silence in the roaring of water.

The local children here are a very active and good diver. If you throw a coin into Dhuan Dhar, they dive immediately and came back with the coin. Wonderful.

Bandar Kudni

Bhedaghat Jabalpur

You can take a boat to reach here. The cliff of marble rocks is so closer as monkey jumped one to another. So this place called Bander kudni. It is a place where the Narmada is in a silent mood. In full moon night boating between the Bandar Kudni is also an attraction.

The cable car that takes visitors across the gorge is also an attraction among tourists.
You can't forget the magical effect created by sunlight as well as the moonlight with these marble rocks and water.

Rani Durgavati Museum

The museum is dedicated to famous Gond queen Rani Durgavati. You will find 10th-century relics and collection. A separate section of Mahatma Gandhi also added. The visiting time is 9.30 AM to 6 PM.

Madan Mahal Fort

Madan Mahal fort built by Gond ruler Madan Shah, who was the son of Rani Durgavati. The fort was built in 1450. There is a pound in the middle of the fort.

Chaunsath Yogini Temple

Bhedaghat 64yogni

The temple is situated at the hilltop. The view of Dhuan Dhar is very clear from here. The temple is of goddess Durga. It included carving 64 yoginis.

How to Reach Bhedaghat

Bhedaghat is 20 Km from the main city Jabalpur. Jabalpur is the very oldest city of Madhya Pradesh. At the time of the formation of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur was the main claimant for capital along with Indore, but capital became Bhopal.

Jabalpur is a well-connected city by road, rail, and air to another city of India. Jabalpur is 329 Km from Bhopal and  850 Km from Delhi. Bhedaghat is also a railway station, but it is a very small station. Many express trains do not halt at this station. It will be better you stay at Jabalpur and take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Bhedaghat.

Where to Stay

There is no problem with staying at Jabalpur. All kind of hotels, lodges and guest houses are available in Jabalpur.

Purchase
