Every foreigner who came to India must visit Agra. Not only foreigner but also from all parts of India thousand visitors come to Agra each year.

Taj Mahal is the world-famous unique monument of India.

Taj Mahal is situated at Agra of Uttar Pradesh. Agra is a big and famous city of India. It was the capital of the Mughal emperor.

Who built Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. She died during the birth of a child. Taj basically is a tomb. Tomb of Mumtaj Mahal. The construction work of Taj started in 1631AD and completed in 1648 AD. The mosque and guest house was built later on in the campus.

Details Story of Taj Mahal

Shah Jahan met Arjuman Bano Begum who was the daughter of Abdul Hasan Khan. Shah Jahan married with her. He called her as Mumtaj Mahal. The Mumtaj mean crown.

Mumtaj was a wise lady. She started taking part in the political decision of the king. She also started the distribution of money and needy things to poor and old age helpless persons. She always being with the king.

When the Shah Jahan went to Burhanpur to control a revolt, she was along with him even after the complete pregnancy period. One day all of sudden Shah Jahan got a message that Mumtaj is in the serious condition during childbirth. He rushed to the Mumtaj camp from the battle area. Mumtaj was at her last stage. She asked a promise that the king should make a unique tomb. She succumbed in hands of Shah Jahan.

It is said that within a week king turned older than his age due to deep sorrow. His hair looks like an old man.

Mumtaj buried in Islamic tradition at Burhanpur. Later on, her dead body brought to Agra at Tajmahal.

Shah Jahan kept his Promis

It is decided to build a Taj Mahal on the bank of Yamuna river. You can imagine the greatness of the project that 20000 artisans, handicraft men, and labor were engaged. White marble stone brought from Makrana, Afganistan, and Iran. One thousand elephants/bulls pulled stone and brought it to Agra. Shah Jahan opened his treasure. He chose the best available person for the construction of the Taj Mahal. Ahmad Lahori architect's mind was behind the Taj Mahal.

View of Taj Mahal

As you entered in Taj Mahal campus, you face a beautiful garden. The garden divided into a quadrilateral. The pathway developed in the middle. The most accretive verdant garden. Anyone got stuck it.

Whole Tah Mahal is eye-catching and mesmerizing. The main entrance gate is beautiful. The dome and minarets on four corners of the dome attracted everyone.

The upper tomb is symbolic. Come to the basement. There is the real tomb of Mumtaz Mahal at the center position on a rectangular platform. Nearby the tomb which is grater than Mumtaj Tomb is of Shah Jahan's tomb. Who buried here after 30 years.

Aurangzeb, son of Shah Jahan declared king himself. He arrested Shah Jahan and kept his house arrest position till death in the red fort. The very bad situation faced by Shah Jahan. It is said that Shah Jahan beholds the Taj Mahal all the time from the window of red fort. The cycle of time when turned around nobody knows. When a heart breaks off, there is no sound. The principle applicable even today.

Wonder, the man who built Taj Mahal can't see it as a closed look. He cannot touch it in his last days.

Black Taj Mahal

It is said that Shah Jahan planned for the preparation of a black Tajmahal across the Yamuna river. The plan could not flourish. All imaginations could not success in once life.

Dangers Reward for Artisans

There are so many myths floating in the public. Tajmahal was a unique monument. Which was built by the best available persons in the field at that period. Shah Jahan wanted that no one prepared such a beautiful building again. So he ordered to cut the hands of 40 important artisans. Accordingly, the hands of 40 artisans were cut. Was that a reward for the built of Tajmahal. But in this context no documentary proof is available.

I came out from the campus of Tajmahal and went to a nearby tea stall. The Hindi movie song was playing-

Admi Musafir Hai
Aata Hai Jata Hai
Aate Jate Raste Main
